Prime Minister Hun Sen is set to address the nation concerning the current condition and progress regarding the Covid-19 outbreak, including contributions by the public to fund buying vaccines.
Hun Sen’s speech will be broadcast live at 9am on December 15 from his residence in Kandal province’s Takhmao town, according to the Ministry of Information.
Last week, the prime minister announced that the government was preparing for a first-phase purchase of one million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to be given to 500,000 people who are at the highest risk of contracting the virus. Immediately after the announcement, people around the country began donating money to aid the government’s procurement plans.
