Plymouth's Lomibao family learned quickly this week how a free and easy art project could spread joy and color throughout their neighborhood during one of the grayest stretches of any calendar year in Michigan: mid-February.
Just hours after Melissa Lomibao placed a series of homemade frozen art sculptures in her family's front yard, the return on her family's fun investment started paying dividends.
"Right away, two of my neighbors texted me and said, 'Thank you for brightening up our street!'," Lomibao said. "They said the ice art was like a dose of spring. It was fun to do
without the nice feedback, but hearing that made it even more gratifying."
