In a goodwill gesture towards
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), a landowner from Kondhwa had left his vacant plot fenceless to allow the civic body workers entry from his property and clean the adjoining nullah every year. The aggrieved citizen now claims that he has ended up paying a hefty price for his act of benevolence. According to Altaf Karim
Shaikh, the owner of the land, temporary sheds have come up on the patch, with the whole property being encroached and illegal shops running on it.
