A refurbished village play park was last weekend declared open by local children following a campaign to raise £3,000 to bring it up to standard.
Children in Y Fan near Llanidloes have missed out on playing in the park for more than a year after it was condemned by safety inspectors in early 2020.
The refurbished playpark at the Institute was declared open by the children on Sunday, June 21, where they then went on to play together and use the equipment.
A spokesperson for The Van Institute said: "Thanks must go to all who have helped in any way without them the children would still be locked out of their special space."
