DEMING – Maternal and child health and wellness is a top priority for certain nonprofit organizations in southern New Mexico and due to the current pandemic these nonprofits are needing additional assistance to help them support those that need it most.
The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico’s Wellness Fund Grant was established in 2016 by individual donors and supports nonprofit organizations that focus on either education, direct services, prevention and wellness, programmatic support, and social determinants of health. This year the Wellness Fund was able to award $98,500 in the first round to help in supporting various nonprofit organizations. Which included awarded to organizations supporting food insecurity, family programming and early childhood education.
