Plans to set up a new fast food restaurant in Southend High Street have been scrapped.
The proposals put forward by Tariq Ahmed were withdrawn last month, though no reason was given for the decision.
The plans were first submitted back in December last year and would have seen a new restaurant set up in 119 High Street.
It was formerly home to the Beauty Palace shop but has been empty for some time.
Drawings submitted alongside the now withdrawn application suggest fast food outlet, Sam’s Chicken, was being lined up to move in.
