PLANS have been revealed to potentially move a range of breast services from Warrington Hospital to Halton.
The proposals will see breast assessment and symptomatic assessment services relocated to the Captain Sir Tom Moore Building at Halton Hospital as part of a reconfiguration.
Under the plans, mammography breast screening services would be retained in Warrington, either at the hospital’s Kendrick Wing or Bath St Health and Wellbeing Centre, to enable all Warrington residents to continue to access screening in the town.
Breast screening services would also continue unchanged at Halton Hospital, St Helens Hospital and at the mobile breast screening unit at all five current regular locations.
