MADISON HEIGHTS — Big changes are planned for the property around the Madison Heights Public Library, thanks to a new grant that the city has received from a national nonprofit.
The “Play Everywhere” grant was awarded to Madison Heights by KABOOM!, a group that describes its mission as ending “play space inequity.” The grant was awarded in cooperation with the Built to Play initiative, supported by the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation, as the grand prize for the Play Everywhere Design Challenge, where a total of $1 million was awarded to projects across southeast Michigan and western New York.
