Planning application submitted for gigafactory at Coventry Airport

Plans have been submitted by Coventry City Council and Coventry Airport Ltd
Application made for 5.7m sq ft site for both battery production and recycling
Estimated to add £434m to the local economy each year and create 6,000 jobs
If given the green light, it would become the third gigafactory in the UK
Britishvolt's plant in Blyth was granted planning permission earlier this month and Nissan has announced its own to be connected to its car plant in Sunderland
