Pitkin County property tax appeals amount to $1.3 billion in reduced valuations

After a record-breaking year of property valuations in Pitkin County, the County Board of Equalization finalized its months-long appeals process, resulting in a reduction of $1,332,644,642.60 in the assessed value across appeals filed that were either adjusted or stipulated.
