PINSON — The city of Pinson will be celebrating its 17th birthday with Pinson’s annual CityFest this Saturday, May 8, at Bicentennial Park. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and go until 2 p.m.
“We’ll celebrate the city’s birthday with cupcakes for everyone,” City Councilor Dawn Tanner said at Thursday night’s council meeting. “Everyone is welcome to come. We’ll have food trucks there, the splash pad will be open, we’ll have activities for the youth (and) we’ll have activities for young adults.”
The splash pad will be free during CityFest. Spikeball and disc golf will be offered, as well, and the Pinson Pubic Library and Pinson Parks and Rec. will be providing activities for children.
