About 15 families currently sheltering in the Anyidi area on the eastern outskirts of the Jonglei State capital, Bor town, are in dire need of food and shelter after fleeing their homes in Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) after clashes there.
Clashes erupted in parts of GPAA last month following attacks by heavily armed youth from Jonglei State. According to reports, the clashes which continued for about a week left several people dead and villages torched, leaving thousands displaced.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj early this week, Yuot Alier, the Bor County commissioner, said they started receiving the displaced on May 12 and that food and shelter are lacking.
