When pianist Michelle Cann, who debuts in Aspen Aug. 7 with music by women of Chicago’s Black Renaissance, discovered Florence Price, she was shocked the name had never emerged during all her years of education at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music.
