For Community Opportunities, a local non-profit that employs 47 developmentally-disabled adults, primarily providing recycling services to the community in an effort to keep local lakes and rivers free from pollution, the situation has grown dire. In the aftermath of a pandemic followed by record-high utility costs and a deteriorating building, the organization is on the verge of closing.
