Arizona's number of identified COVID-19 cases has reached 850,846 (up 610 from the day before), and the number of deaths increased by 19 to 17,105.
It's Tuesday afternoon, and this is Coronavirus Watch from The Arizona Republic, where we update you about the latest on how COVID-19 is affecting you and our community.
Arizona public health officials, local pharmacies and others were canceling appointments for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on the federal government's recommendation today.
Federal officials said the reactions "appear to be extremely rare."
More than 6.8 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine have been administered across the U.S. But federal health officials are taking a closer look at six incidents in which women, between the ages of 18 and 48, developed blood clots six to 13 days after vaccination.
