Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): To ensure success of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Grameen phase II, a one-day capacity building training of Swachhagrahis (cleanliness volunteers) and village functionaries of Aghunaqa, Kuhuboto and Niuland blocks was held in Kuhuboto town hall on May 28. The training was organised to equip them with the key components and interventions for achieving ODF Plus. In a press release, IEC consultant of PHED, Dimapur, Vibou Seyie, stated that power point presentations on Open Defecation Free (ODF) sustainability and ODF Plus and 15th Finance Commission was made by the district coordinator district of water and sanitation mission (DWSM), PHED, Dimapur, Imojungla Longkumer, while ways of dealing with solid waste management was taken up by JE PHED of Kuhuboto, Longchendi Longchar and the SDO of PHED Niuland, Mughalu, dwelt on management of liquid waste and faecal sludge. The session concluded with focus on the ‘Role of Swachhagrahis/ village functionaries’ which was deliberated by Vibou Seyie.
