The Personal Finance Society has announced that Keith Richards will step down as chief executive on 30 June 2021.
He was appointed after the Retail Distribution Review in 2013 and has seen membership increase to 40,000 individuals and more than 200 associate firms.
Under Richard’s leadership the PFS contributed to several working parties such as the government’s implementation group for pension freedoms and Financial Advice Market Review.
Richards also oversaw the setting up of the European Financial Planning Association-UK mutual recognition qualification programme, the Pensions Advice Taskforce and Financial Vulnerability Taskforce launched in January 2021.
