As it has been across almost all Ontario municipalities, Perth County’s 2021 budget has proven to be a balancing act, ensuring residents have the services they need without taking on an additional tax burden in the midst of pandemic.
Perth County councillors got their first look at a proposed 2021 county budget Thursday morning that included an overall base levy of just more than $17.1 million – an increase of roughly 3.5 per cent over the $16.5 million contributed by ratepayers this year.
