A Chicago police officer shot and wounded a person as he ran from a street stop in Bronzeville on the South Side Sunday night, authorities said.
Plainclothes officers approached two people in the 4500 block of South Drexel Avenue around 9:40 p.m., according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department.
One of them ran into an alley and an officer shot him, police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
