OSF Saint Clare Medical Center became the 15th OSF HealthCare hospital in the Peoria-based integrated health system on July 1. A 25-bed critical access facility, it is one of Bureau County’s largest employers. Beginning this fall, the former Perry Memorial Hospital will offer new services to the community including OSF OnCall, and OSF MyChart with the integration of Epic, OSF’s electronic medical record system.
Discussions to explore the partnership that ultimately led to the transfer of ownership began in August of 2019 with representatives of Perry Memorial Hospital, the City of Princeton, which owned the hospital, and OSF HealthCare. The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved the change of ownership exemption application in January of 2021.
