PEORIA — There aren't enough words to describe the type of person Michael Anthony Charles Johnson II, was, say his relatives.
Johnson, 21, was pronounced brain dead at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said, less than two days after he was fatally shot late Sunday night outside his home in the 600 block of Haungs Avenue.
"He was many things. He was a son, he was a father, he was a nephew and he was a friend," said his aunt Shannon Curtis of Pekin. "He had a heart like no other. He walked into a room and his smile lit up the room."
