A 73-year old pensioner has spent days unblocking culverts to divert flood water away from his village.
Duncan Mowat, who has rescued his village at Alcaig, near Conon Bridge, from flooding three times this year, says he needs some help from the council to do all the work he's doing as a volunteer.
Mr Mowat was praised by villagers and the local landowner after his rescue efforts at the weekend.
