Pennsylvania is home to some of the best trout fishing in the world, according to the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, and dozens of people proved it Saturday morning at the Middletown Reservoir by landing dozens of rainbow trout within the first hour of the first day of the 2021 trout fishing season’s 8 a.m. starting time.
Lloyd Ebersole, East Petersburg, has been fishing the same spot near the dam at the Middletown Reservoir since 1983 and camps out the night before with his brother Harry and friends to ensure it.
Pennsylvania sports nearly 16,000 miles of wild trout streams with 5,000 miles of stocked trout streams and 125 stocked trout lakes.
