Pelosi urges lawmakers to 'return to Washington this week' as calls for impeachment grow

In a letter circulated to House representatives Saturday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged her colleagues to prepare to return to Washington, DC, as soon as this week.
Her remarks are the latest signal that the House could move forward with impeachment proceedings ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's Inauguration Day.
Lawmakers have widely blamed President Donald Trump for emboldening his supporters to riot at the US Capitol building last Wednesday.
