PECO Closing Section Of Gay Street Weekdays March 1-July 1

A section of Gay Street between Church and Walnut streets will be closed weekdays, block-by-block, starting March 1 until July 1 for PECO utility work. (Marlene Lang)

WEST CHESTER, PA – Gay Street will be shut down between Walnut and Church streets on weekdays — one block at a time — over four months for PECO utility work, and traffic will be detoured.
West Chester Borough noted this week that the entirety of Gay Street will not be shut down during this construction. PECO's subcontractors began closing one block at a time from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday starting on March 1.
