PCHD receives COVID vaccine

OTTAWA/PUTNAM
COUNTY —Late Tuesday morning, the Putnam County Health Department
received the county’s first shipment of Moderna Therapeutic’s COVID-19
vaccine.
The 100 doses came encased in a white cardboard box with
green lettering. Striped red tape sealed the box shut, and wrapped the
edges.
“It was like Christmas,” PCHD Director of Nursing Sherri
Recker said. “Everybody here is so excited and everybody in the office
