Paws and Pints breaks ground in Des Moines; opening planned for 2022

If anyone is coming out of the pandemic happier than they went in, it’s dogs.
Many have spent over a year cuddled up to their remote-working owners, and shelters and breeders around the country often couldn’t keep up with the demand as a growing number of people found comfort in furry companionship.
The Des Moines cohort of pandemic puppies has another treat to look forward to in 2022: The opening of Paws and Pints, a one-stop shop that will provide a destination experience for dogs and owners alike.
After delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Paws and Pints broke ground on May 20 at 6218 Willowmere Drive. The 4.5-acre location near the intersection of Southwest 63rd Street and Park Avenue and just south of Water Works Park will house the 33,000-square-foot 'ultimate canine retreat.'
