Pawn shop employee pleads guilty in $3 million booster scheme

Rochester, N.Y./Greece, N.Y. – A man charged in connection with one of two federal investigations into local pawn shops has pleaded guilty.
Wade Shadders, 23, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport stolen goods in interstate commerce. He faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced in March.
Shadders was employed at Royal Crown Pawn and Jewelry on Dewey Avenue. Prosecutors say he and owner Devin Tribunella bought items that had been stolen from major stores for a fraction of the price and then re-sold them online. The two allegedly resold more than $3.2 million in stolen goods between 2017 and 2019.
