As we have just marked International Disability Day on Dec. 3, it is important that we speak up to demand that employers strive for a more inclusive workplace by recruiting more differently abled (diffable) individuals to work for them.
Law No. 8/2016 on the diffable mandates private corporations to employ diffable individuals, which should account for at least 1 percent of the entire workforce. For state-owned enterprises, the law stipulates that their diffable employees should account for at least 2 percent of their entire workforce.
