The nonprofit Wild Wonders animal refuge offers a new virtual program “Saturday Morning at The Zoo” starting 10 a.m. Saturday. This week’s program, led by its keepers/educators, is “Out of Africa,” featuring upclose encounters with its animals from Africa. Other sessions are monthly through April. The nonprofit Nature Collective hosts a “Virtual Connections” series on Dunes and Tidepools, 12-12:45 p.m. Jan. 28 and Feb. 4. The interactive tours take viewers to local seashore habitats for up-close discoveries. The series will introduce participants to marine protected areas, and the plants and animals that depend on dunes and tidepools. Cost is free. For educators, the online “Nature Journaling” series is 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday , Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, which will introduce approaches to observation designed to inspire students to ask questions and draw conclusions; cost is $20.
