Philippa Pickering is retiring after 16 years at Burton Borough School
Burton Borough School's Philippa Pickering is retiring as the Head of Student Services after almost 16 years working at the school in various pastoral jobs.
In her role, Philippa has supported students all the way from Year 6, and the transition into secondary school, until they leave at the end of Year 11.
She has lived in Newport for 31 years and is retiring to move up north to be closer to family and her grandchildren.
"I have slightly mixed feelings this week," Philippa said. "I have absolutely loved my job, it has been amazing working with children as they grow up.
