The parliament will debate and vote today on the renewal of the state of emergency until 31 March to allow lockdown measures to continue, the vote is guaranteed approval, with the support of PS, PSD, CDS-PP and Pan parties
The introduction of the law reads "As a result of the measures taken under the state of emergency, the situation is evolving favourably, but external signs are still complex and imposing caution about the steps to be taken in the near future, it is understood that there are reasons to keep it [lockdown] for another 15 days, in the same terms of the last renewal ", The draft presidential decree that renews the state of emergency maintains that a "phased plan for the reopening of schools" must be defined and now provides for it to be articulated with "testing, screening and vaccination".
