Parliament Budget Session 2024 Live Updates: Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are scheduled to deliberate on the construction of the "historic" Ram temple and the Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya. BJP also issued a whip to its Lok Sabha members, instructing them to be present on the final day of the session. The whip emphasises that crucial legislative matters are to be discussed and passed in the house on February 10. In the Lok Sabha, BJP MP Satypal Singh will move the motion under Rule 193, seconded by Pratap Sarangi and Santosh Pandey. Similarly, in the Rajya Sabha, the discussion on the same motion will occur under Rule 176. The session was extended by one day after the government presented a 'White Paper' on the state of the economy in both Houses. On January 22, Modi, as the 'Mukhya Yajman' (chief patron), performed the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He had also laid the foundation stone of the temple in 2020, almost a year after the Supreme Court rendered its verdict, granting the disputed land to Hindus for the construction of a temple.
