Parkway High School senior Karleigh Landry has been selected as a National Honor Society Scholarship finalist.
Landry was chosen from nearly 10,000 applicants and will receive a $3,200 scholarship toward higher education.
“Karleigh is an amazing student who exemplifies all the qualities of a true NHS scholar. We are proud to have her represent both our NHS chapter and our school, and we know that she will continue to work to better her community and bless the lives of all she encounters as she pursues her future academic endeavors,” said Jessica Jones, Parkway NHS Sponsor.
At Parkway High School, Landry has served as the 2020-2021 NHS treasurer; been a four-year member of the Beta club, exceeding the required community service hours each year; been a four-year member of Student Council, serving in various leadership positions; been a three-year member of Student to Student, an after-school peer tutoring program; been a three-year member of Red Jackets, Parkway’s prestigious student ambassador program; and been a member of the Helping Angels club, which collects donations and volunteers with local animal shelters.
