MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (LEX 18) â A Mount Sterling parent has filed an emergency injunction against the Kentucky High School Athletic Association to stop a "return to play" policy.
This policy lays out guidelines for when students would be able to return to sports after being exposed to or testing positive for COVID-19.
In the statement released to LEX 18, the issue at hand is that if an athlete tests positive, they must sit out at least 22 days. The statement reads that this is more strict than most amateur or professional sports.
