Paradise Town Council Voted to Extend Housing Urgency Ordinance: At their meeting on Tuesday, May 11, Town Council voted to extend the deadline for the Housing Urgency Ordinance which temporarily allows residents to live on their property in RVs until Sept. 30, 2021, while still allowing residents who can show progress towards rebuilding to live on their property in RVs until Dec. 31, 2021. This extension applies only to residents who have already applied for their Temporary Use Permit (TUP), no new TUPs will be issued without a building permit. As of January 1, 2022, residents may live on their property in an RV but must have an active building permit to do so.
