Just when you think everything is starting to get back to normal, you're reminded that COVID-19 is still real and here.
June 1st marked the first day of Pride Month, but Panhandle Pride has stated they will not be holding a large gathering festival or event this month.
You may remember that last years event in Memorial Park was canceled due to the pandemic, and unfortunately it sounds like this year will be similar. That's not to say it won't happen at all or that there won't be celebrations that happen.

There were rumors floating around that they were denied a permit to hold a large gathering, but Mandy Morton, Interim President of Panhandle Pride told ABC7 that's not the case.
