The Sydney CBD office vacancy rate hit a seven-year high of 8.6 per cent in the six months to January, up from 5.6 per cent at the end of July, amid a slow return to office life following a mass exodus during the pandemic.
It means the cityâs vacancy rate has more than doubled in the past 12 months, according to to the Property Councilâs latest
Office Market Report.
Sydneyâs vacancy rate was 3.9 per cent a year ago (before the pandemic hit) and 3.7 per cent 18 months ago.
Office vacancies are at a seven-year high in the Sydney CBD.Â
