Bend man fleeing police after crime spree arrested in Crook County
Chase took place in Crook County on the highway and multiple residential roads
A Bend man on a crime spree who was fleeing police through multiple towns was finally stopped and arrested in Crook County Saturday afternoon.
According to a Crook County Sheriff's Office report, 42-year-old Bend man Jacob Austin Schunke first stole a bicycle and then a Ford pickup in Bend in the early morning hours. Around 11 a.m., he failed to perform duties of a driver with property damage in Redmond before heading into Crook County. Once on Highway 126 in Crook County, he was called in as a reckless driver running people off the road.
