ANANTNAG, Dec 22: Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) managed to win nine District Development Council (DDC) constituencies in Anantnag district, the results of which were declared Tuesday. Three seats were bagged by Congress while as independent candidates emerged victorious on two seats.
PAGD, an amalgam of various mainstream political parties including National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party, had fielded candidates from all the 14 DDC constituencies of the district. From the alliance, NC emerged as winner on six seats followed by PDP which secured win on three seats.
