PAC fundraiser, PAC treasurer charged with alleged multi-year schemes to defraud donors

Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and James Smith, the Assistant Director in Charge of the New York Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), announced that Richard Zeitlin and Robert Piaro were arrested this month and charged in connection with their alleged schemes to defraud donors while soliciting money for certain political action committees (“PACs”).
