Restaurateurs will be allowed to reopen Monday but must meet self-certification guidelines to operate at 50% capacity. For those who aren’t self-certified, they can operate at 25% capacity, state officials said.
Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin Saturday reminded restaurant owners they can reopen at 8 a.m. Monday at the maximum 50% capacity -- but only if the owner has completed the online self-certification process. Those with questions about the self-certification program can email
The process, Davin said, is a simple way to promote an establishment’s commitment to its patrons’ health and safety.
