Gov. Tom Wolf is defending Pennsylvania’s vaccine distribution effort.“In terms of the vaccine rollout, the data I’m looking at is that we’re right there with everybody else in the country,” Wolf said Thursday.Pennsylvania is still vaccinating health care workers, along with residents and staff members at nursing homes.“Each day, we do a better and better job here in Pennsylvania. I think, each day, every state is doing a better job,” Wolf said.Wolf said the state will be ready to start vaccinating residents 65 and older next week.“We’re working to make sure that this gets out as quickly as possible to people who need it first and do that in as fair a manner as we can,” he said. The governor said the holidays, coupled with the freezer storage requirement for the vaccine, resulted in some delays in the beginning.“I think there were some inevitable hiccups in terms of getting things started. It didn’t get out as fast as any of us would like, but I think we’re making up for that,” Wolf said.
