PLYMOUTH – Welcome to the Space Age of public transportation. Plymouth & Brockton unveiled its new buses Thursday as it prepares to restart limited service from the South Shore to Boston. They are something to see – and ride on.
“I call them rocket ships,” said CEO Win Sargent. “It’s the next step in technology.”
The modern buses are sleek like spacecraft. They are aerodynamic and fuel efficient and feature the latest systems, including collision-mitigation, fire suppression, GPS and WiFi. Starting Friday, May 14, they will transport travelers to Logan Airport and beyond when P&B service restarts for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year.
