The Owen Road bridge in Fenton that travels over U.S. 23 is likely to be under construction until the summer.
Keith Brown, construction engineer at the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), said theyâre doing maintenance work on numerous bridges in Genesee County.
People driving through Fenton and traveling on the highways will be impacted. After the Owen Road bridge is done, MDOT will begin work on the Silver Lake Road overpass. MDOT also plans to complete maintenance on the Thompson Road bridge, Torrey Road bridge, Lahring Road bridge and approximately a dozen other bridges in Genesee County as part of a $12.3-million investment.
