Over £2,000 raised at auction in memory of young farmer Hannah Brown
CCM Hannah Brown Memorial Sale 04.05.21 Lancaster Swaledale
More than £2,200 was raised at an auction in memory of young farmer Hannah Brown whose death aged just 26 left the agricultural world in deep shock.
Hannah had become a well-known and greatly respected figure at Skipton at her family farm in Newton-le-Willows, then later in her own right as both a breeder and show winner.
Hannah moved to Dufton in 2019 to live with farming fiancé Ben Richardson and last August the couple had a daughter, Millie, now nine months old.
Eden Valley YFC chairman Tom Barker, club president Catherine Chappelhow and member Warren Porter, along with southern district president Alan Barker, travelled to Skipton mart to express the club’s gratitude to — and support of — Ben Richardson and Millie, of Ghyll House.
