IPHO information officer Irene Dulduco said in an interview Tuesday the vaccinated children were from nine out of the 18 towns of the province. "So far, as of our reporting time on February 21, there were already nine towns that had submitted their accomplishments," she said. The vaccinees were from the towns of Anini-y with 317, Hamtic with 240, San Jose de Buenavista with 205, Bugasong with 110, Libertad with 96, Barbaza and Laua-an with 86 each, Sibalom with 60, and Caluya with 30. The municipalities of Patnongon and Sebaste kicked off their 5-11 years old pediatric vaccination on February 21. The ceremonial launch was held in San Jose de Buenavista on Feb. 15. Antique targets to vaccinate 95,437 children from the same age group in its 18 municipalities. Dulduco said they need the help of the barangay officials in terms of social mobilization. "The barangay captains know their constituents who are eligible for vaccination so they could help us reach out to them," she said.
