Aussie Grill is essentially a fast-casual, drive-thru version of Outback. The Outback brand, synonymous with steaks, cocktails and bloomin' onions, is more of a dine-in type place. So Aussie Grill seems to be Bloomin' Brands' answer to the growing convenience-based dining market, which was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first Aussie Grill locations opened just two years ago in Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and in the U.S., where it now has restaurants in California, Utah, Colorado, Nevada and Florida.
On the menu, diners will find fast-casual menu staples like chicken sandwiches and burgers, and also large plates that seem to take their inspiration from Outback.
