Our View: Cannabis board needs to approve marijuana rules

It’s way past time for the government to implement the rules and regulations for recreational cannabis so new businesses can receive licenses and get started.
The April 2019 law that legalized recreational cannabis also created the Cannabis Control Board, which had a year to complete one job — write and adopt rules and regulations for the cannabis industry.
The pandemic is a weak excuse for the delay.
The cannabis law states the rules and regulations were supposed to be ready by April 2020, which means the document should have been nearly complete in March 2020, when the governor shut down non-essential government operations.
