“I wish I could go and hold her,” said Brian, Marie’s only child. For now, he’s content to see her through her bedroom window.
While Marie is officially over her illness — her new COVID-19 test was negative early this week — “it’s so up and down” as she is feeling worn out from the virus. She was hooked up to oxygen as the coronavirus limited her lung capacity. She had to switch rooms twice and is still without a phone and TV, while all her belongings are in quarantine.
